According to the US Department of Agriculture, Active Adults recommend calorie intake to 2200 calories and the active adult men's calorie intake is 2800 calories (both age, that is level of activity and weight). If you have high calorie meals during a meal or snack, you will not leave much room for other meals on that day. If you want some high-calorie food, find a healthy, satisfying alternative quickly. There are countless sites to help you determine the calorie content of foods and most restaurants on their website. Finally, always remember to read the nutrition labels if available.
