The history of yoga is a long and breakthrough tradition. Contrary to what some people think, yoga is not the latest way to be slim to fit into a smaller pants fit.

Yoga's story goes back to 5000 years. Was from India, and for the first time in which Yoga was found in written form, Rig Vada was one of the saint texts of Vedic exercises. Yoga is a means of achieving spiritual enlightenment.

Originally, Yoga techniques were passed from the teacher to the student through the mouth. These techniques have never been described until Indian wise Patanjali has described the systematic mode of Yoga Sutras. Patanjali is the yoga's father.

According to Patanjali, there are eight limbs of yoga leading to the ultimate goal of enlightenment.

– abstinence from violence, stealing, desire and greed

– Niyam – Devotion, Purity, Awareness, Satisfaction, Development of Discipline

– inward and retreat attention from the outside world

Dharana – concentration

Swami Vivekananda added to Yoga's story that she had brought America . In 1893 he dealt with the parliament of the world religions and discussed the path of yoga. As a result of her speech, she flourished quickly as a practice in many areas of the country. Since then, Yoga has enjoyed great popularity in the United States, and many different styles, including Hatha, Bikram and Iyengar, are practiced by millions of people.
